Follow-up: I have reported the bug. My contact also told me this:

There is a spot for people to report directly through the app via the contact and then troubleshooting button.

Thanks for letting us know about this problem. I’ll report this to our contact at Libsyn. They’re the ones who built the apps for us, and are in charge of fixes and updates.

Glad to hear that worked, Lee. Thanks for the detailed steps for anyone else who wants to try this method.

    Lee,

There actually IS a direct URL you could try. The MAPP show audio files are loaded on Libsyn, just like the public shows, but their names are “encrypted” so they can’t be found. If you right-click on the “Listen to the Show” link, you can copy the URL. For example, MAPP Show #31’s URL is http://traffic.libsyn.com/podcacher/PodCacherm6v8k9.mp3

Try that with Pod Wrangler and let us know how that works. It might be a solution that others could use as well.

Oh yeah, we’ve had the fun of looking for a cache that hasn’t actually been placed yet!! But that time we were alone – no FTF party to have fun with. Alone, that is, until the cache hiders showed up – with the cache.

Thanks, roogie, for thinking of us with your Amazon shopping!! 🙂

I like this idea. We chatted with someone in Georgia about the Georgia geocaching organization – not sure if we covered all those topics, but we do have some audio for an upcoming show. We’ll have to get some more organizations on as well. Thanks!

Yes that was a lot of fun, Jack, and we haven’t done it in ages. We’ll see if we can resurrect that idea.

Interesting suggestion, Gordon. We’ll ponder on this one. It would be cool to help travel bugs and geocoins on their way. In case you didn’t know – there is also this website out there: http://www.tb-rescue.com/ (although I’m not sure how active it has been recently).

Thanks for this idea. We’ll think about who to get involved in this topic discussion.

Great idea – thanks. Let us know when the Newport Beach one is done. Maybe we can get up that way!

Hey cool – thanks for sharing. Not many can say they had a cowboy on horseback attend their geocaching event!!

Steve – Yes, we’ll definitely try to cover as many of the cool puzzle caches as we can. That’s part of what we’re really looking forward to!
