this2shalpasParticipantCar Road Trip: My geocaching backpack has spare cache containers, logs, and baggies for doing maintenance, a small took kit with a bunch of TOTTs, extra water and snacks, tissues, a couple of pens, my stamp, spare batteries, the GPSr, a bit of SWAG, and TB’s that need moving along. I always take my hiking boots and hiking stick.
Heading to the Block Party via airplane and bringing a carry-on: still trying to figure out what to do. Can’t bring the hiking stick or some of the TOTTs that are non-TSA friendly…hmmmm…48 hrs to figure it out. 🙂
this2shalpasParticipantBetter pack a NANO cache as well…you just never know when you will spot the perfect place for it!
this2shalpasParticipantI, too, am a Geocaching MB counselor. I’ve held a MB session at a MB fair and run a couple of adult leader training sessions. <span style=”line-height: 1.5;”>Due to the timing of the merit badge coming out, my older son was not able to earn it before he aged out and he is my geocaching kid. My other son was never interested. </span><span style=”line-height: 1.5;”>Both of my boys are Eagle Scouts. </span>
Our troop often grabs a cache or two when hiking in the backcountry.
this2shalpasParticipantmy iPhone for instant logging and spontaneous geocaching!
this2shalpasParticipantMojaveDiva and I are flying up to Seattle from LAX on 8/13 and have to fly home again on 8/16. We are going to have a mad dash three day whirlwind adventure, that’s for sure!
