My first GPSr was some sort of red Lowrance.  It was a pain.  Someone stole it from my truck after I had found about 80 caches with it.

For the next 20 or so I used Google Maps (LPC’s were my friend for a short time).

The a friend gave me an “Old Yellow” Etrex – old enough that it didn’t have WAAS and on a good day it might get you with 20 feet.  I’m a better cacher because of Old Yellow.

When I found about a 1,000 more I bought a Colorado 300 from someone who decided she didn’t want to learn a new machine.  I loved my Colorado, but…  The on/off button fell out and was lost.  Garmin wanted $100 to fix it.  A cotter pin from Home Depot worked just as well and was about $0.10.  But it all came to an end a few months ago when the dial fell out and was lost.

So now I’m using a Oregon 600.  I liked it, and then it started locking up.  I started hating it.  And then I found the firmware was very outdated.  Got it up to date and the problems went away, or at least most of them.  It tends to reset certain things now and then.  Overall I like it better than my Colorado, but I miss the ability to do Whereigos.  Guess I’ll have to get an app for that.
